Easter Sticky Competition

After watching the scramble to prepare our school’s Easter Sticky Competition today, the memories of how the inspiration for Cecil the Bully came about flooded back to me with glorious giggles.

Many years ago, our head teacher was gifted with the opportunity of showing a local MP around our school. The MP arrived with all the pomp and glory of a man worthy of requiring a travelling assistant and photographer, clicking away at his every move like a telephoto dog!

Needless to say the vivid image sparked the flames for Cecil’s story and, if you’ve ever watched a school assembly go awry, our little friend’s part in the competition and the events which unfold thereafter will leave you in stitches at the thought that this could happen in any school at Easter.
