It has been so long since we’ve had a coffee. Sorry we aren’t at our usual coffee shop – work has been mad and my projects have overtaken all my spare time. So, without too much pomp and ceremony, I’d like to welcome you to my bat cave!!
Yes, it’s not much and the decor leaves a lot to be desired, but it’s my personal workspace and I’m happy to share it with you. Coffee or tea? My solar powered kettle will be bubbling soon.
How are you? I am feeling better and far more focused than a few months ago. What exciting projects/things have you been up to? Hope it’s nothing too taxing.
I’m pretty excited because my chariot is nearly ready. Yes, I meant it when I said I was building a chariot.
It’s a basic cardboard box with gold and silver trimmings, old bicycle tyres and there’s a further improvement of a scooter for the rider to stand on. Let’s hope they don’t fly off the stage!
Have you ever seen Joseph and his Technicolour Coat? The songs are beautiful and the children are doing an incredible job of preparing for the play.
Whilst we sip our coffee, I can tell you that the summer is absolutely lovely and my fruit trees are doing well this year. The cherries look scrummy and I have to resist the urge to pick them. Do you enjoy cherries or do you have another type of fruit that’s a favourite?
Well the flowers refuse to be outdone and have bright beautiful faces this year.
I’m bombarding you with pictures. It’s my way of saying thank you for coming to my bat cave for a cuppa. Once my storage cupboard has evicted the spiders, I’ll be sure to stock biscuits!
Until then, tell me how your weekend has been whilst we finish our drinks. π
Welcome back! I am so happy to see you. I love the chariot. Your flowers are marvelous and the colors so vibrant! Thanks for the coffee. I will come see you again. β€

Thanks for inviting us into the bat cave for coffee! Love the chariot. Not only did I see Joseph and his Technicolour Coat, I Joseph and his Technicolour Coat with Donny Osmond playing the lead. I’m sure you’re too young to remember when he was a teen idol. Well, this was quite a few years after that….

Wow! That’s fantastic! I don’t think it will be that good, but the children will surely try. π

My guess is you will enjoy the version with the kids much more than the one with washed up celebrities! Actually, he was quite good, but there is something special about children, isn’t there?

Hi Eloise, thanks for the tea and for showing us around the bat cave. May I say it is looking very nice.
Those cherries look so mouth-watering. I hope the birds don’t get them, before you, as they have done with our strawberries.
I saw Joseph and his TCDC when Jason Donovan was playing Joseph. Long time ago, but a great show.
Great to see you back Eloise, and I love the chariot π Well done in building one.
