Coffee Anyone?

Trent and I sat in the corner, sipping rich french roast whilst discussing beers. He was pretty excited about the music cd he was producing with a collection of his work. I waved Mihran over and introduced the two so that they could compare music styles and absolute genius!

Melissa, Jessica, Roshan and discussed Melissa’s projects for the A-Z challenge she would be running in her Writing Room 101. Z-man, her little nephew had kept her busy this weekend, so it was a good time to relax and discuss the exciting things she was planning. We all have Jessica a big hug for landing a new job which would sadly reduce her time with us but would be great for her career and family.

Jo and Ronovan came to join us and we shared the news about Kate’s family (The Dazzling Whimsy). All agreed that we would do all we could to help her parents out and hopefully send a positive response to an awful event.

The bell tinkled and The Modern Philosopher walked in. Icicles held onto his hat and he shivered as snow flakes melted off his heavy overcoat. The barrista quickly brewed the perfect blend to melt his frozen bones and bring a smile to his face. Luccia commented that she was reminded of Kind Sisyphus and his eternal punishment from Zeus. I nodded in agreement.

It’s been a hard week for me and I was questioning my own life. Good things were happening. I went for a job interview and was offered a new role that would enhance my time in the library and get me involved with the literacy side of the school. All good. My page at Coffee Time Romance was nearly up and running and I would be able to sell my romance books through their awesome site which is a wonderful step forward.

I sighed. The downside to the week was my mother showing no sign of improvement, even though I tried to con myself that things were progressing. Watching her fight to survive put a huge damper on everything. Colleen gave me a big hug and I put my bag of self pity away just in time see Hugh and Lance walk in. It was great to see them both and I couldn’t wait to give Hugh a celebratory hug for his latest horror story, Needles, whilst Lance walked in proud and caked in mud from his hockey game where he scored two of the four goals for his winning team! Callum gave a loud “Whoop!” and set off for the counter with Natasha and Sarah. Choppy, her beautiful dog gave a whoof of approval at the free doggy treat given.

I checked the time and quickly finished my coffee as I was late for visiting time at the hospital. Diana looked up as I was leaving and I waved good-bye, hoping to chat to her when I returned to the meet up. There were so many things I wanted to ask about her blogging and social media plans and of course, her plans for the A-Z challenge.

The air swirled with snow flakes and I ran out into the night, ready to face reality.

This sounds like a lovely get together! Question – do you all really live in the same city, or was this a virtual coffee? It’s a cool thing to do either way. 🙂

    • No, we actually live in different parts of the world. The coffee blogs bring us all together and I imagine, in a perfect world, we would get a chance to meet up and catch up on news. Fancy a coffee next weekend? Would love for you to join us. 😀

      • Yay! Welcome!

Well, for my coffee blog, I visit different blogs and link them to my coffee post. There will be a message sent back to saying saying I have linked to your blog and it will ask for your approval. If you agree, visitors to my blog will be able to click on your name and visit your blog to see what you’ve been up to.

It makes it feel as though you’re right there with me in the coffee house and it’s a great way to meet new bloggers.
If you would like to write a coffee blog, there is a lovely lady running a #WeekendCoffeeShare where we can all link our little posts to hers. We get to visit all the bloggers on the link and catch up on their week.

Good luck and if you need any help, feel free to message me or any of the bloggers I follow and we can all help you out. Have a lovely day. 😀

      • Thank you so much. And yes I am interested in the WeekendCoffeeShare but I might need some help getting started. How do I post on the coffee blog? Do I have to go to the particular page and then post a response? Uggggg…bare with me lol. Hope you have a fabulous day:)

      • Don’t worry. It’s great fun once you know how.

Okay, the weekend coffee share will have closed by now. I think it opens again on Friday (or Saturday). If you’d like to do a coffee post today, that’s fine too. Write the post on your blog and if you like, copy the link to here, under my comments. Readers will be able to pick it up and visit your blog site. I will also reblog it for you on my site.

This coming weekend, you will be able to link up with the coffee share and get more readers to come join your coffee moment.

Hope that makes sense. If you need further help, don’t hesitate to ask. 😊

      • Thanks so much. Another thing I am not quit sure yet how to create my daughters and sons page. Right now Ive just posted in regards to her. I am moving to Philly in June is my plan so I can drive into NY each day for their performance time and jobs theyre hired for. I am hoping to find a good support group for them due to past trauma they were subjected to by their brother and to see what opportunities are out there for the in the fashion and entertainment industry. Im hoping to figure this site out soon because its amazing:)

      • You could create separate pages for them on the same blog. You will find the options when you go into your WordPress dashboard.

  9. Wishing you a far better week this week, Eloise.

My thoughts are with you while you mum remains unwell. Sometimes life is just not fair, but you have many friends here in the coffee house all supporting you through difficult times. After all, we know that you’d be doing the same for us and giving us all your support when we have difficult times as well.

Having a coffee with you is always such a real pleasure. See you here again next week and, maybe next time, you’ll allow me to buy you coffee?
