Colour Me

Pic borrowed from mixedracefamilies.blogspot.com

IMG_3972.PNG
Pick a race
I might be
White, Black, Asian
Running through me.

Pick a place
Let me know
Where I stand
In the thro.

Pick a smile
Not a frown
See my colour
Don’t strike me down.

Pick my heart
See my tears
My blood runs
As yours does dear.

Pick a soul
Run aground
Crushed underfoot
Silent now.

Pick a side
Open eyes
Show Colours love
Share our pride.

  1. This is a great poem for MLKD or any and every day.
Stupid aside – why do I see pictures with the post in my Reader but I don’t see them on the post? The picture fits your words perfectly but I don’t see it when I click into your site.
Anyway, I don’t want to detract from the lovely words šŸ™‚
